Google Chrome Becomes #1 Search Engine Used World Wide
Internet Explorer can likely say goodbye to its number one Internet browser spot for a while, as Google Chrome has edged it out of the top spot. Chrome has pushed Internet Explorer off the top spot before for small time increments, but last week marked the first time Google Chrome sustained its top spot for one whole week.
The two browsers are neck and neck for top spot statistics. 31.88 % of the world’s web traffic occurred on Chrome, while Internet Explorer is right behind at 31.47 %. The difference is very small, but Chrome has been on an upward trend for quite some time. Internet Explorer is the top browser in many areas of the world, including North America, because it is the default browser on the Windows’ machines that make up around 90% of the world’s computers. Users that are more tech-savvy and knowledgeable tend to gravitate towards Google Chrome though. These trends are predicted to continue at least until Internet Explorer releases Internet Explorer 10 later this year.
