The Rocket 55 Story

As children our tallest aspiration was to become astronauts. And in our minds we were always very close to that goal through one of our many back yard building projects. In fact, we even named our favorite fort Rocket 55.

So many years later, having served various tours of duty in corporate America, Steven and I rejoined forces to create a new kind of marketing and design firm. We had all the answers to what we believed would help us bring value to companies and help them succeed. What we didn't have was a name. So digging deep into our collective memories and experiences we decided to pay homage to a simpler time when all was possible through imagination. And Rocket 55 took flight again!!

As Founder of Rocket 55, Steven is looked to by Minnesota businesses as one of a small group of pure Internet marketing experts. A business and law graduate, Steven started his career in Los Angeles as an animation producer. He then spent time as a Sales and Marketing Director for a medical manufacturing company.  He started Rocket 55 as a response to what he saw as a shortage of dependable and results-producing web agencies.

As a young lad Kyle Johnson always new he wanted to be in advertising. Maybe it was all of the TV he consumed or his lack of athletecism.

After many years of agency experience and spending time as the Creative DIrector for Move Media and NIchi Interactive, Kyle spent four years as the Art Director and Lead Photographer for the Cites Magazine, producing national advertising and web marketing campaigns.
